Azure Is Building More Than Homes - It's Helping Shape Riyadh's Next Chapter

July 09, 2026 read

Azure’s Fahad Al Assaf, Abdullah Al Habib, and Nayra El Sheikh explain how the premium real estate developer is enhancing Riyadh’s residential landscape, and making the city a home-from-home for newcomers to the Saudi capital.

As Saudi Arabia accelerates towards its Vision 2030 ambitions, Riyadh has become one of the world's fastest-evolving cities. The influx of international businesses, investment, and skilled professionals is transforming not only the skyline but also expectations around how people live. For premium real estate developer, Azure, that shift presents an opportunity to redefine residential living through hospitality-led communities designed for a new generation of residents.

“We are seeing unprecedented growth in the real estate sector, whether in terms of quality, services, or the speed of development of the city," says company CEO, Fahad Al Assaf. "Today, Azure is in the right place at the right time, making it especially suitable for international expatriates."

Rather than simply developing residential compounds, Azure is focused on creating fully integrated, resort-like communities, offering amenities including gyms, swimming pools, childcare facilities, and leisure spaces. The aim is to make relocating to Saudi Arabia as seamless as possible.

That philosophy reflects the vision of Abdullah Al Habib, Managing Director of Azure, who sees the company as playing an important role in welcoming international talent to the Kingdom. "We are trying to serve people who are coming from outside of Riyadh. We are the first station for expats experiencing Saudi, so we need to be everywhere in Riyadh and we need to set the standard," he says.

Launched as a dedicated brand in 2023, Azure has quickly scaled its operations while raising the bar for hospitality across its portfolio. "We started our new strategy with a vision to reach the maximum hospitality standards in our communities," says Al Habib.

With approximately 17,000 residents today, the company aims to increase that number to between 50,000 and 60,000 in the years ahead, reflecting both its own ambitions and Riyadh's continued expansion.

For Nayra El Sheikh, Marketing Director at Azure, the company's success is measured by the experience it creates for residents arriving in an unfamiliar place. "You're coming to a new city and a new country, so we create an experience that is diverse and inclusive for our residents," she says. As Saudi Arabia competes for global talent, she believes making relocation "easy, simple, and safe" is becoming increasingly important.

Residents appear to agree. One family that recently relocated to Riyadh says that Azure offers far more than accommodation: "We're happy. We feel good. We like the style of the houses...the pool, the padel court, the cinema—everything."

Azure's momentum reflects the pace of Riyadh's wider transformation. According to Al Assaf, the company opened nine residential compounds in the past year alone and plans to launch six more in 2026. "Continuous development is part of Azure's culture. We are always looking for ways to improve ourselves by understanding what the market needs and implementing those ideas," says the CEO.

Looking ahead, Azure's ambitions extend well beyond the Kingdom. "Azure's future ambition is to be present everywhere in the world, because the product Azure offers is truly unique," says Al Assaf.

As Riyadh continues its evolution into a global destination, Azure is positioning itself not simply as a real estate company, but as a hospitality brand helping shape how people experience Saudi Arabia from the moment they arrive.
